Cross Canada Blog Hop: Documented

Welcome to the Cross Canada Blog Hop! This month we are featuring Documented- a paper pack that is full of rich, beautiful colour!

If you have come from Krista then you are on the right path- just read on and at the end you will find a link to your next blog on your journey. Be sure to leave some comment love on your way!

Documented has been one of my favourite papers this last catalogue – I will be sad to see it go at the end of the month. It was perfect for a layout I wanted to try featuring a diamond pattern- how fun is this single page layout?! It was simple, fairly easy and perfectly captures my daughter! The diamonds were cut out using the You are Here CTMH Cricut cartridge (there is also similar shapes on Art Philosophy and Artbooking). The title for my layout also came from You are Here- I added a touch of shimmer to the ‘wild’ since it really speaks to her personality. Any journaling I could have done was replaced with some of the words from a zip strip from the Documented paper- they perfectly describe her.

Now hop on over to Alyson and see what she has to share with you.

Cross Canada Blog Hop- Central Park

Welcome to this month’s Cross Canada Blog Hop where we are excited to bring you paper-crafting projects featuring Central Park. If you have come from Krista’s blog then you are on the right path from one side of Canada to the other, consultant by consultant!

This month’s featured paper is Central Park- a bright, colourful paper that is perfect for all your summer memories! My first layout features a compilation of photos from one summer. I wanted a fun way to preserve these special moments but they were not enough for their own layout (even a one page). This layout was the perfect answer and I love how it turned out. I used the Central Park Complements and the Central Park sequins to complete this cute look.

My second layout is a one page layout. For this page I used the Central Park Paper, Complements, sequins and the sticker Alphabet (I seriously LOVE this sticker alpha!). This hot air balloon print is one of my favourite pieces of paper in the Central Park paper pack and it was the perfect fit for our Canada Day photos which all seemed to involve inflatables.

I hope you enjoyed my layouts. Now hop on over to Alyson’s blog to see what she is has created with Central Park.

Don’t forget to leave some comment love below.

April: Cross Canada Blog Hop

Welcome to April’s Cross Canada Blog Hop!

This month we are featuring ‘Celebrations’- could be birthdays, special occasions or any other celebration we can papercraft! If you are coming from Arlene’s blog then you are working your way across the country!

For my project I decided to focus on a card for a Baby Shower (gender neutral card).

Materials used:

Chelsea Garden Paper Pack

vellum Paper

Chelsea Garden Complements

Chelsea Garden dots and gems

April Stamp of the Month: Colour your Life

CTMH Watercolour Pencils

Waterbrush

I decorated the inside of the card by stamping the ‘Life’ image in black ink. I then coloured it with the watercolour pencils using two colours per letter. To blend the colours I used the waterbrush- this helped create an ombre look.

Now hop on over to Janet’s blog to she what she is celebrating!

Cross Canada March Blog Hop: Bring on Spring!

Welcome to the March Cross Canada Blog Hop featuring any bit of spring we can find! This month we want to channel warmer weather and budding flowers- anything that will help to speed up (or help us feel like it is speeding up) winter.

This month I got my inspiration from our Monthly Special ‘Showtime’. This cute stamp set (or bundle) features a super fun set of images that make you think of the circus, carnival or amusement parks! All things that need warmer weather LOL

Product featured in my card:

Gold Foil Paper (12 x 12)

Watercolour paper

Watercolour paints

Showtime Stamp set

Gold ribbon

Circle Thin cuts

3D foam tape

To create the background of my card I added a generous amount of paint on to my CTMH all purpose mat. I think spritzed the paint with water and carefully laid my watercolour paper into the paint. After tapping the paper down to ensure it had made contact with the all purpose mat, I pulled the paper up and laid it aside to dry.

While the watercolour papers dried I did my stamping (except for the ferris wheel) and assembled the pieces that I could. Once everything was dry I was able to stamp the ferris wheel and assemble the rest of my card.

I may have to make more of these tomorrow in more fun colours- they are the perfect addition to any birthday party my kids might attend this spring and summer!

Now, as mentioned, the Showtime Stamp set can be purchased on it’s own (at $23) or you can take advantage of one of our monthly sales and purchase the Step Right Up bundle for only $37.95… and if you are not sure what to do with all the paper and accessories in the bundle then check out my last blog post for THREE fantastic layout ideas!

Now hop on over to Kristine’s blog and see what she is bringing to the blog hop party!

It’s Showtime!

Step right up to the greatest…

Bundle of products!!

Have you been caught up in the craze of the movie, ‘The Greatest Showman’?

Many have and our Home Office staff were very overwhelmed with the movie and the amazing soundtrack. They were so caught up in all the fun and excitement that it inspired a new stamp set and a bundle of products!

For only $37.95 you can purchase all of the product above (or you can get the stamp set for only $23) and bring the fun of ‘The Greatest Showman’ right to your scrapbook pages!!

Check out the inspiration I found for some of our favourite family memories:

I have been struggling for MONTHS on how to scrapbook Medieval Times- at first I wasn’t sure that the colours would work with my photos but in the end they were the perfect fit!

They were also the perfect fit for my nephew’s birthday party!

AND they will be look wonderful with photos of our trip to Canada’s Wonderland this summer (we got Season’s Passes for Christmas so I know we will have LOTS of fun photos to scrapbook!)

Tell me: What photos do you have left to scrapbook that would look great on these layouts?

January Cross Canada Blog Hop

Welcome to a new year and a NEW SEASONAL EXPRESSIONS BOOK!!

If you are coming to me on our blog hop via Dominique’s blog then you are on the right path.

Today our blog hop will feature some of our favourite items from the new seasonal book. Unfortunately, I don’t have a favourite…

because I love it all!

For this blog hop I focused on the Make Waves paper. I also used the Make Waves sequins and gems (the sequins are little flowers- so cute!!), the teal shimmer trim, vellum and the Make Waves Scrapbooking Stamp set.  I love this dreamy little card set!

Below is a look at each card.

For my ‘Bloom’ card I created a shimmery paint splash by mixing shimmer pen with some reinker and then splashing it across my card base. Make sure to use a clean paint brush to splash!

Our seasonal expressions idea book is not just for shopping – have you seen the artwork tips located throughout? This ‘Dream’ card using the mermaid tail effect featured on page 29 of the book- LOVE it for cards and it is also great on scrapbook pages.

This card is my favourite of the three. I love the Mermaid that is a stamp in the Make Waves scrapbooking stamp set. For this card I stamped two layers. The mermaid, seaweed and bubbles are stamped on cardstock and located underneath the vellum. On the vellum I stamped my sentiment. This added a softer feel which was perfect for the illusion of being underwater.

If you wish to purchase any of these items you will find them on my SHOP or you can contact your CTMH consultant.

Holiday Expressions Cross Canada Blog Hop

Welcome to the Cross Canada Blog Hop featuring Holiday Expressions product. If you have come from Diana’s blog then you are crossing Canada! Read on to enjoy my stop on this trip from Sea to Shining Sea!

For this hop I decided to share two layouts using the ‘Falling for You’ product line. I LOVE the colours and the leaf print. So fun, beautiful and easy to use! I also worked in the coordinating complements and sequins. Since Fall is in full force here in Ontario I can see that I will be using more of this paper soon!

Both of these layouts were also based on sketches in our new Make it from your Heart-Volume 3.
