Mickey Mini Book

What is a trip without a little book to brag about it??

Secret Sister Gift #2- A Hawaii Mickey Mini book using our Black My Creations Mini Book, Heartstring Paper and Heartstring Picture my Life cards PLUS a bunch of accessories!

I decorated the front with some stamping and another doodled Mickey. Kept is fairly flat and simple though so that the recipient can take it places to show how great her job with CTMH is!

And here are just SOME of the pages in the books. I used PML cards but was not afraid to cut them up to add them as elements to my pages. Again things were kept pretty flat to keep this book portable.

Fun, right?!

So many uses for these great little Mini books!

Wanderful Picture my Life Mini-Album

It is no secret that our Picture my Life cards are versatile and that I LOVE them! Here is another project I made with these cards- a cute little mini-album perfect for summer travels!

My team made this album last weekend as part of our thrive weekend retreat (so fun and more details about it to come later this week).  These mini-books are so easy to make- pick your cards (whichever ones fit your theme) and add any embellishments you might like.  I added complements, cricut cuts and some of the assortment pieces.  I also added liquid glass accents to a few pieces for some added fun.

Punch some holes and add a ring or some ribbon to finish it off! Perfect to be gifted to someone OR taken on a  trip to add your journaling as you go!

Picture my Life Frame

Abby Frame

Just another thing you can do with our Picture my Life cards- these cards are from the Chalk it Up kit.  I created this for my daughter’s friend – she was celebrating her 3rd birthday and we wanted to make something special for her!

I used a cut from the Cricut Artbooking cartridge to create my circle background.  I then layered PML cards in different ways on the circle overlay.  I cut some cards apart to add dimension or phrases.  Finished it off with some of the puffy stickers from the Chalk it Up Assortment (LOVE THESE!!).

Cross Canada Blog Hop: Picture My Life

Welcome to the Cross Canada Blog Hop featuring the Picture my Life cards! If you have come from Lucy’s blog then you are on your way and already feeling inspired!!

If you haven’t heard these PML cards are AWESOME!! You can do so much with them- they were designed for pocket scrapbooking- a fast, simple and yet beautiful option to traditional scrapbooking that has gained in popularity the last few years.  But those little cards are so versatile! (If you SEARCH the Picture my Life on my blog you will see some other things I have done with them).

PML card 1

What did I do with mine this time? I used them to create three adorable (and super easy) cards! My top card features 2 Wanderful PML cards – I matted it on some cardstock embossed with our honeycomb folder and some of our Wanderful paper.  I also added some stickers from the Wanderful complements- LOVE this series of products!

Below is another card- the sentiment on the card is a PML card that I trimmed down. I used the zip strip from the Wanderful paper to create my paper ribbon and held it down with mini-stapels (if you have NOT seen our mini-stapler you are missing out!)
PML card 2

My third card is the simplest of all- just a card, some 3D foam tape and some Wanderful paper- so pretty!

Picture My Life Mini Album

PML mini book 1

By now if you follow my blog you know how much I enjoy using CTMH items in unconventional ways- well here is another post! This one uses the Picture my Life cards to create a little mini-album- I focused on friendship as the theme for this and will use it as an Operation Smile Auction Item for my upcoming team event!

The PML cards for this one are from the Skylark collection- I used few accessories to pull this one together as the cards really offer more than enough!  You can see washi tape is prominently used for the binding on the pages- super easy! I then cut apart other cards to use aspects of them in my mini-album (a little bit of foam tape really helps these pop).

Here you can see some of the Skylark assortment and some Aqua dots- I love doing these smaller projects as they are a great way to use up some of my leftover product (especially accessories).

Cross Canada Blog Hop: Mini Books

I LOVE making mini-books- especially for my non-crafty friends as gifts. They are the ones who appreciate the hard work and both of us know that they would never make one of their own.  This book is one of those… made for a friend expecting her fourth and last baby (and since she refuses to give into my peer pressure and find out what she is having she gets one made in gender neutral colours).

Now this is a blog hop as well, so welcome! Read on and follow the links to see LOTS of different ideas for mini books.

For my album I used one of our Hip Pic albums (if you search on my website ‘hip pic’ you can see a few ways I have used these- they are so great!).  I also used the Babycakes Picture my Life cards to decorate the album- a little bit of stamping and some accessories pull it all together!

You can see I used lots of washi tape- many of my hand cut pieces are actually cut from some of the picture my life cards (not stamped at all).  This book came together in about an hour- quick and lovely!

Artistic Adventure Mini Album

artistic adventure album cover

Convention is always a magical time of year- for CTMH consultants I think it is MORE exciting than Christmas! The fun of new product reveals (and how they reveal them is always a true show) and getting time to play with all the new stuff… sigh… it is heaven on earth!

Now today I am still at Disneyland… riding rides and having some girl time with my BFF Sarah BUT before I left I wanted to make sure I had some fun stuff set up for you! I hope you like it- we created this on Thursday at convention and all I will need to add when I get home are my photos!

This mini album is created with the following new products: Chalk it up Picture my Life, Striped Twill Ribbon, and and the Chalk it Up Assortment.  I also used a few of our new stamps… but those you will have to wait to see… (insert slightly evil laugh here).

‘Little One’ Layout

Today’s layout follows the theme of the month- using those Picture my Life cards or My Crush assortments in your traditional layouts.  This layout shows BOTH- you can see the cards as squares in my strip on the right and as the background images in my polaroid die-cuts.  These images are from the Laughing Lola collection and worked perfectly for my layout of my new little nephew- Gibson.

I have the My Crush assortments used on both sides as little journaling bits, the pennants and the stickers along the white piece that give the significant stats about his birth.

Valentine’s Layout

I know what you are thinking- Valentine’s? That was months ago and will not be here for months to come BUT it fits the monthly theme of using those out-of-the-box items (either My Crush assortments or Picture my Life cards) on traditional scrapbooking pages.  Here I used the Picture my Life cards from the Avonlea kit.

You can see the obvious cards that I placed on my layout- for the title and journaling box. I used another card that I cut up for my subtitle- quick, easy and perfect!!

Added in to my layout – a piece of cardstock from the Free to be Me paper, our red chevron washi tape, embellishments from the Base and Bling red jewels, slate twist ties and some of our marquee white shapes.

Dare to Fly Layout

I am so excited to share this ‘Dare to Fly’ layout with you- I LOVE it!! It has to be one of my favourite ones that I have created EVER.
dare to fly layout

Our Ariana paper was perfect for the shabby chic look I was going for.  I used our CTMH cricut Art Philosophy for the big circle in the back and then cut pieces of paper to layer over it.  I even tore the edges of some of the pieces- something I have not done in a long time.  I used two cards from the Chantilly Picture my Life set for my title and my journaling box (so perfect!) and then adorned with accessories from our Frosted collection last catalogue- I had one pack left and they were just the perfect addition.  And I added my last piece of lagoon zipper lace- so love this and now have to buy more!!
