Day Three and learning to Hand Tint

I just love this course!! Have I mentioned that before… when I wake up in the morning it is like Christmas- I just cannot wait to have a few minutes to get on the computer and see what I will be learning and doing today!! If Jessica had the whole course available I would be done by now (good thing she is holding out on me though!)
Today we learned about hand tinting our photos and bumping up colour in other areas using saturation and brushes. I took out some of the colour in my above photo but then added some into the flower that my son is holding and to his cheeks. The next thing I did was add some glowy stars (they are harder to see in the photo due to all the white background but you can see some in the grass areas- they almost could be snowflakes). I also added a new frame that Jessica gave us!!! How fun!

Using a brush or Digital Stamp!!

Day two of my online course with Jessica Sprague and we learned how to use a brush in photoshop and downloaded the neat one in the photo above!! I even learned how to sample colours from my photo to use as the colours for my brush (or digital stamp as it works very similarly to that). I do not think I will ever take this information and become a digital scrapbooker but I am pretty sure that I will use it to mix the two media’s- using some of these neat photos on my layouts will be lots of fun!!!
Check out Jessica’s website at http://www.jessicasprague.com/ and if she offers more free courses I highly recommend taking one!!

Learning so much about my photos!!

Today is the first day of my online FREE course with Jessica Sprague- I came across her stuff through another consultants blog and I am just so excited!!! I am not a computer savy person and have been so clueless about using my Photoshop elements that my husband got me for Christmas- well, with Jessica’s course I learned tons of stuff today alone!!
Today I learned how to use transparencies to put those cute touches to photos that you see above- the frame and the word art!! LOVE IT!!
I also learned how to resize my photos for web or email use- NOW this is the best part as I have wanted to figure this out for ages!!!
My homework was to post my finished photo on my blog so here it is!! This is my son Austin (far left) and his two friends Royce and Elliot- we all went strawberry picking last week and they had such fun- the work ‘energy’ really sums up these three when they get together!!!
