Cross Canada Blog Hop: Trick or Treat!

Welcome to our Trick or Treat Blog Hop across Canada!!  If you have come from Joanne’s blog them you are on the path of lots of Halloween fun!

For my treat I created a simple one page layout- the spin on this (or trick you could say) is that I created this using our new Artfully Sent cartridge (which is a card based cartridge… think outside the box and you can use it on your layouts too!).  I cut the Haunted house and fence on the ‘fit to page’ setting on my machine. I backed my house with yellow paper to make the windows shine. I then added some stickers from the Scaredy Cat Complements and used foam tape to pop them up.  This came together very quickly!

Stamp of the Month: What a Hoot and ShinHan Markers

what a hoot treat bag

Earlier this month I shared a card that I created with the What a Hoot stamp of the month- now I want to share with you this cute treat bag! Wouldn’t you LOVE to receive some Halloween goodies in this!

I used the Designer Creations Buttoned Bag and our Scaredy Cat papers to create this bag.  Of course I coloured my images in our ShinHan Touch Twin markers- I really, really do LOVE these markers! Below I have a video I created that shows the simple colouring I did in creating this gift bag- if you have never used alcohol markers then you may find this very helpful!

Shine On Card

I love this card and I love the stamp set I used to create it- so simple and turned out perfectly! For this card I used the Glitter Girl stamp set (seen below) and a piece of our Scaredy Cat paper (not just for Halloween).  I stamped my circles in thistle, flaxen and glacier (some of these were done in second generation stamping).  One of my circles is the backside of the stamped image- did you know you can stamp with the backside?? Great way to add an image to your set!

I added silver sequins and bitty sparkles. Stamped the sentiment in black and then used our piercing ruler to add the pierced dots below the sentiment.
